An important milestone for Dresden International University (DIU): Our new degree program, “AI, Regulatory Affairs & Transformation in Medical Technology (MBA)”, has officially been accredited by the German Accreditation Council. As we prepare to get underway, we are delighted by the response. Our first cohort includes highly qualified professionals from the Czech Republic, Portugal, Germany, Switzerland, Pakistan, and Belgium, all bringing substantial professional experience to the program.
This international mix is especially valuable for a degree program that addresses challenges extending far beyond national borders. Developing and implementing AI-enabled medical technologies requires a shared understanding of regulatory requirements, clinical evidence, quality management, and patient safety. The different professional backgrounds and perspectives of our students will make these topics even more relevant to practical discussions, case studies, and collaborative learning.
Developed together with Scientific Director Prof. Dr. Stephen Gilbert, Head of Medical Device Regulatory Science at the Else Kröner Fresenius Center for Digital Health at TUD Dresden University of Technology, the part-time MBA combines these fields with digital healthcare, AI, and leadership. Over four semesters, students will connect academic knowledge with professional practice through online learning and onsite sessions in Dresden. We look forward to welcoming our first cohort and to the expertise and discussions they will bring.
