Chiropractic (M.Sc.)
Combining theory and practice while working
Target group
- Graduates of the DIU Bachelor's degree program “Chiropractic”
- Prospective students with an equivalent vocationally qualifying degree from a university of applied sciences or university as part of a generally four-year degree program or with a degree equivalent to 240 credit points from a foreign educational institution
Cooperation & network
The chiropractic courses are offered in cooperation with the Chiropractic Academy and the European Chiropractic Academy at the locations in Bad Oeynhausen and Eindhoven, Netherlands (practical seminars).
The cooperation provides the opportunity to access the specialist and personnel expertise of the partners, which has been incorporated into the development and advancement of the degree programs. Teaching and practice rooms of the cooperation partners, including the necessary equipment and materials, can be used for the entire DIU study program. This enables a direct theory-practice transfer of the content taught and ensures the application orientation of the course content. These cooperations have also proven their worth with regard to marketing and sales of the degree programs. The overall formal and academic responsibility (overall academic and administrative management, coordination, quality assurance and evaluation, etc.) as well as the sponsorship of all degree programs is the responsibility of DIU.
Students are exclusively enrolled in DIU degree programs and only acquire credits in these degree programs, which are offered in cooperation with the listed partner. They are involved in the academic self-administration of DIU and the use of DIU resources and have the same rights as all other DIU students.
Another partner of the degree program is the Bund deutscher Chiropraktiker e.V.

Flexible learning
Knowledge is imparted in lectures and seminars with a high practical component. Some of the basic theoretical knowledge is taught in interactive online classroom sessions, whereby direct exchange with lecturers and students is of great importance. Comprehensive teaching materials and recommended literature allow students to individually organize their learning phases.
In-depth expert knowledge
The team of lecturers on the course includes both top-class scientists and experienced practitioners, which enables the teaching of comprehensive knowledge about the connection between theory and practice according to the current state of science. The involvement of internationally recognized lecturers from the field of chiropractic complements the knowledge acquired, the skills taught and expands the student's own field of vision with international experience reports.
Extensive exchange
The pleasant and interactive teaching and learning atmosphere in small study groups encourages and intensifies exchange between students and with lecturers. Joint seminars with international guest lecturers promote cross-year exchange and strengthen relationships between students and lecturers beyond their studies.
