INTERVIEW:
1. Looking back on your time studying at DIU, what moment, person, subject, or event immediately springs to mind as having had a particular impact on you?
What immediately comes to mind is the way DIU consistently connected strategic thinking with operational reality. Subjects such as Strategic and Operational Management and Project and Process Management were particularly impactful, as they challenged me to think beyond abstract frameworks and to understand how decisions materialize within real organizations. This integration of strategy, structure, and execution shaped the way I now approach complex business environments.
2. Is there a subject, method, or particular insight from your studies that has had a lasting impact on your professional perspective or that you still use today?
Supply Chain Management had the most lasting influence on my professional perspective. Through courses such as Supply Chain Management Specialization, Planning Tasks in Supply Chain Management, and Applied Logistics Management, I developed a systems-oriented mindset, understanding organizations as interconnected processes rather than isolated functions. I continue to apply these insights when analyzing operations, improving processes, and balancing efficiency, resilience, and sustainability in decision-making.
3. If a good friend or colleague is considering whether studying at DIU is worthwhile: based on your personal experience, what would you say is the greatest and most valuable benefit of studying/your time at DIU?
From my personal experience, the greatest benefit of studying at DIU is its strong professional orientation combined with academic depth. DIU equips students not only with knowledge, but with a way of thinking that is directly applicable in international and interdisciplinary contexts. The program encourages analytical rigor, adaptability, and practical relevance, qualities that remain valuable well beyond graduation.
