The module provides students with the leadership foundations required to guide digital transformation in healthcare delivery and digital medical product development. Students learn how leadership differs from management and how vision, adaptability, trust, and innovation can support organizational change.

The module introduces modern leadership methods and transformation tools, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), agile approaches, and structured strategy work. Students explore how these instruments support strategic alignment, collaboration, and clarity in dynamic digital environments.

Further topics include transformational leadership, personal leadership reflection, organizational culture, technology adoption, and the integration of artificial intelligence into existing structures. Students learn to distinguish between speculative hype and practical digital strategy based on evidence-based foresight.

The module covers leadership capabilities for digital healthcare environments shaped by technological change, transformation, and artificial intelligence. Students explore leadership principles, modern transformation methods, and the organizational challenges of digital change.

They reflect on their own leadership style, compare it with the competencies required for transformation initiatives, and develop structured approaches for guiding teams and strategic initiatives in complex digital contexts.

Qualifications

Participants who successfully complete the module will be awarded 5 ECTS Credit points. The Credit points are awarded after passing the module examination.
