What does the degree program offer?
With the master's program PREVENTIVE MEDICINE students gain a professional extension to conventional medical training and receive an interdisciplinary and compact overview to the state of the art of preventive medicine.
Based on physiological and clinical contexts and incorporating latest study results, the degree program provides up-to-date medical knowledge for an early diagnosis, individual-related treatment and prevention of so-called aging-related diseases. The two-year part-time study program focuses on medical specialties not previously included in medical, primarily curative education, such as immunology and environmental medicine, stress medicine or (micro-)nutritional medicine, chronobiology and gender specific topics. The knowledge acquired during the course of studies supports physicians in providing comprehensive individual diagnostics, sound advice and holistic care for their patients. The aims of treatment focus on contributing to a healthy aging, relieving long-term complaints and actively involving the patients.
