A trip with many new impressions and experiences
From 11 to 15 June 2024, Dr Michael Grassmann and Dr Marc Janka taught 17 students from the joint international study programme of DIU and GMU in the field of controlling. The two lecturers, who have been working as honorary professors at DIU for many years, contributed their extensive knowledge and practical experience in the fields of financial management and controlling in order to offer the students a high-quality education.
Dr Michael Grassmann, who has been teaching at DIU since 2014, expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to teach in China: "It was a great honour and pleasure to meet the Chinese professors and students in Guangzhou. I am grateful for this opportunity and proud to be part of such an important international programme."
Dr Marc Janka, who has also been teaching regularly at DIU since 2016, emphasised the positive experiences and the smooth running of the trip: "The motivated students and the exchange with the professors made the week, which was packed with courses, fly by. We are returning with many exciting impressions and great gratitude for this unique opportunity."
Strengthening international educational cooperation
DIU plans to further expand this partnership and involve more lecturers and students in exchange programmes in the future.
A big thank you to Guangzhou Maritime University for the excellent organisation and execution of this trip. This experience not only strengthens the international relationship, but also the personal and professional development of the lecturers and students involved.
