The MBA studies course awards multidimensional insight into the functional areas of a business enterprise as well as its basic conditions from the manager’s perspective, and conveys extensive management skills to enable this.
…the power of doing the right things right ...
The fundamentals of business management taught on the course (the power of doing) include e.g. the principals of marketing, the basics of accounting, knowledge in the field of business informatics as well as management theories and advanced business organisation and process.
From the above, methods are developed (Do the things right) for the accruing of, and analysis of, data in market research , for the evaluation of financial instruments, investment projects and companies, as well as for understanding the interplay between operative and dispositive information processes. Project management and success factors therein will be dealt with, as will the methods and techniques of process modelling.
Strategies are then developed (do the right things) in the area of customer orientation and the implementation of methods and approaches in strategic controlling. Concepts of business intelligence systems and the reasons behind e-business are studied and applied in chain management and in the planning of logistics systems and supply chain management.
In addition the syllabus includes study of political economical framework conditions, international company law and intercultural marketing.
Dresden International University (DIU) is proud to anounce the MBA-Program General Management (MBA). Adhering to the needs of international students, in particular from developing or newly industrialized countries, the program is a skill of knowledge, a combination of theory and practice, experience and research. It is a post-graduate program open to students with economics and engineering degrees and majors, building on theoretical knowledge and practical experience. It is structured according to trimesters, which extend over 16 months include period for the master thesis.

MBA Curriculum
- Based on their academic and professional experience, the graduates will acquire skills and abilities which enable them to work independently as well as in a team and to develop new economic concepts and use up-to-date business know-how

- Our strategy is to train managers managers in the fields of general management, esp. in E-Business, Customer Relationship Management, in Entrepreneurial Leadership, in Change Management or in Supply Chain Management

The teachers are mostly professors at the University of Technology Dresden. The program also includes distinguished associate professors with professional background.
The academic head of the program is Prof. Dr. Andreas Hilbert, University of Technology Dresden.
- Master’s / Bachelor’s Degree (4 years degree) preferably in Economics or Business Administration with average grades exceeding 70 %
- English (at least BAND 6 Chinese University level or TOEFL 550)
- or German (a DSH-Test or equal proof is required)
